Strawberry shortcake blog2 Cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp Baking Powder

¼ tsp Baking Soda

2 tbsp Sugar

¾ tsp Salt

1 ½ Cups Heavy Cream

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.

8x8 in non greased baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, add all of your dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar) and whisk or sift to combine. Stir in heavy cream until just combined. Don’t worry, it will be lumpy and a little sticky. Transfer dough to your pan and evenly spread out. Bake at 400 for 18-20 minutes. Let cool.

Now for the berries!

1 Pint Strawberries, diced

3 tbsp Sugar

1 tbsp Lemon Juice

2 ½ tbsp Grand Marnier (or triple sec or orange liquor of choice)

Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl, stir until combined and let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to draw juice from strawberries. Cut your shortcake, top with berries & whip cream , and enjoy!
